Mr. Moran has more than twenty-five years of experience as a manager, project manager, engineer, designer, field test technician and programmer. Most recently, he served as a Project Director at RES System 3, LLC, where he was responsible for EPC projects totalling more than $200 million for independent power producers (IPPs) and utilities (IOUs) in the transmission and distribution (T&D) sector.

He also served as President of the Hydaker-Wheatlake Company, where he was responsible for the company's strategic development, program management, and overall direction in the construction of utility infrastructure (IOU, cooperative, and municipal), including transmission, distribution, substations, gas distribution, and renewable energy. He led a $300 million organization and managed multimillion projects with accelerated timelines for both renewable and conventional generation, as well as transmission and distribution.

His technical expertise covers renewable energy, fossil fuel generation and power distribution, with a specialization in power quality, design and analysis of relay methodologies, power distribution control and failure analysis. He also has skills in wind power plant design, communication for power system protection automation, smart grid technologies, photovoltaic system and substation design.

He is a licensed professional engineer in the following states: Pennsylvania (PA), West Virginia (WV), Maryland (MD), Idaho (ID), and Texas (TX). He is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
