Guy J. Paquette currently serves as a strategic advisor and corporate director. Currently, Mr. Paquette has been a member of the Board of Directors of Borea Construction since 2021 and has been Chairman of the Board since 2023.

From 2018 until his retirement in September 2023, he was a partner and head of the business law group at Novalex Inc., a Montreal law firm representing a diversified entrepreneurial client. His practice was centred on commercial and transactional law, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financing, franchising, corporate law, and board governance.

Mr. Paquette has also held senior management positions in various large companies, both public and private, which has allowed him to acquire extensive experience in the business world, particularly in the field of renewable energy, financing, compliance, risk management, strategy, and governance. He has held various leadership roles in different sectors, such as Vice-President of Business Development, Corporate and Legal Services at Kruger Energy Inc., in the energy sector. In the banking sector, he served as Vice-President of Legal Affairs at Tallest Financial Management Inc.. Within the industrial sector, he worked as a Vice-President of Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary of Marconi Canada and as Director of Legal Affairs and Assistant Secretary at Imprimeries Québécor Inc.

Mr. Paquette holds a bachelor's degree in civil law from the Université de Sherbrooke and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1982. In 2015, he completed the McGill University Executive Institute's Corporate Directors Education Course, followed by earning his certification with the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD. A) in 2016. He has been an active member of the institute since then.
